Abstract:
Nowadays, the HR function is increasingly challenged on topics of social accountability, CSR, well-being at work and socially responsible HRM. Social issues in which the HR function is called upon to participate and respond to them. In the wake of these contemporary themes of the HR function is the theme of diversity in business. HR practitioners play a key role in the implementation of an effective policy by opening to new recruitment pools and setting up an inclusive work environment open to differences. To do this, they must implement a socially responsible HRM policy to overcome the integrative nature that certain recruitment procedures may have. Through a narrative review of previous work, we shed light on the role that the HR function can play in the success of a disability-focused approach to diversity in business.
