Abstract:

The aim of this article is to study the role of purchasing in social performance and human-environment fit. fit. Based on 24 months of intervention research in the insurance sector, our results show that purchasers contribute to social performance and human-environment fit by incorporating, into calls for tender, indicators linked to performance beyond the company's borders (at the supplier's) and within the company: user experience, well-being at work, human-environment fit. According to internal customers, buyers should pay more attention to purchases that are a source of malfunction and that disrupt the user experience, well-being at work and the person-environment fit.
