Résumé :
Depuis plusieurs décennies, le marché du travail en Occident fait face à de profondes mutations. L’émergence du numérique, l’augmentation continue du nombre de jeunes diplômés et l’enracinement d’un chômage structurel bousculent nos équilibres. Ces profondes transformations rebattent les cartes d’un système de protection sociale qui ne répond plus à ces nouveaux enjeux, car il est calqué sur le modèle passé d’une carrière linéaire avec un seul employeur. Fort de ce constat, ce mémoire vise à déterminer l’impact de ces transformations structurantes sur la protection sociale des travailleurs. Pour cela, l’auteur dresse un diagnostic précis, sourcé et étayé de la société salariale française et de l’adéquation de celle-ci avec la protection sociale des travailleurs, et ce à la lumière des caractéristiques des modèles de protection sociale en France et en Europe. Dans un deuxième temps, l’auteur nous propose des perspectives pour rendre la protection sociale mieux adaptée aux réalités du marché du travail. Il nous partage des solutions concrètes : le modèle de flexisécurité danois, l’universalisation de la protection sociale des travailleurs, le numérique comme outil souple, intelligent et pragmatique.

Abstract:
For several decades, the labor market in the West has been facing profound changes. The emergence of digital technology, the continuous increase in the number of young graduates and the entrenchment of structural unemployment are upsetting our balances. These profound transformations are reshuffling the cards of a social protection system that no longer responds to these new challenges, because it is modeled on the past model of a linear career with a single employer. Based on this observation, this thesis aims to determine the impact of these structural transformations on the social protection of workers. For this, the author provides a precise, sourced and substantiated diagnosis of the French wage society and its adequacy with the social protection of workers, in the light of the characteristics of social protection models in France and in Europe. Second, the author offers us perspectives for making social protection better suited to the realities of the labor market. He shares concrete solutions with us: the Danish flexicurity model, the universalization of social protection for workers, digital technology as a flexible, intelligent and pragmatic tool.
