Abstract:
Associations contribute to the development of CSR. Many associations survive thanks to the participation of volunteers. Volunteering is priceless, yet volunteers represent an economic value. The valuation of volunteer work has been the subject of much research but remains a source of controversy. We have carried out exploratory research to highlight the work of volunteers from a national association of public utility and social character, whose aim is to help entrepreneurs submitted to a court-ordered liquidation. The research field covers 425 volunteers, divided into 3 cohorts, and was the subject of qualitative and quantitative data enabling us to evaluate both the time spent by these volunteers and an initial assessment of their added value. In the discussion section, we look at other possible ways of adding value, the usefulness of doing so, and the follow-up to this study.
