Abstract:
To manage industrial change, the factory plays a determining role. Historically limited to a role of executing prescriptions, numerous research studies have shown that it never ceases to design. The participatory movement favors initiatives in this direction, but they are limited to the proper application of the system of rules. This is the guaranty of the integrity of the production system; hence, disruptive solutions, too risky, are ousted. This article recalls the industrialization model, its effects on the system of rules and describes the factory design activity. Then, he brings the concept of “preservative creation” to go beyond the limits of participation by reconciling the design of new rules and the preservation of the system in place.
