Abstract:

This article launches a theoretical reflection based on an analysis of the management science literature on the relationship between management practices and empathy. The article finds that this duality helps guarantee a certain business ethic. It is worth noting the bidirectional nature of the relationship between management and empathy, which makes it possible to locate business ethics at this intersection. Business ethics thus depend on the quality of managerial practices, but also on the ability of professionals to demonstrate empathy.
